Celebrating Excellence: Pacifica High School Continues to Shine

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, there is so much to celebrate at Pacifica High School. Last year was one of tremendous achievement for our students, staff, and families, and together we continue to build on a tradition of excellence that makes Pacifica a truly special place.

This spring, Pacifica High School was awarded a full six-year WASC Accreditation through 2032, the highest accreditation term granted to a high school. The visiting committee recognized the outstanding work taking place across our campus and affirmed the positive culture, academic rigor, and commitment to continuous improvement that define Pacifica. This accomplishment reflects years of dedication by our students, staff, families, and community, and confirms that Pacifica is well-positioned to prepare students for success in college, career, and life.

Pacifica was also honored as a 2026 California Distinguished School, one of California's highest recognitions for educational excellence. This prestigious award celebrates schools that demonstrate exceptional student achievement while creating innovative programs that support the success of every learner.

Adding to these honors, U.S. News & World Report recognized Pacifica High School with a Silver Badge, ranking Pacifica among the top high schools in California at #138 statewide. This distinction reflects our students' strong academic performance, college readiness, Advanced Placement participation, graduation success, and commitment to excellence.

Pacifica's commitment to preparing engaged and informed citizens was also recognized with the California Civic Learning Award of Excellence, the state's highest honor for outstanding civic education. This award highlights our efforts to provide meaningful learning experiences that encourage civic responsibility, leadership, and community engagement.
