The Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan

Submit a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application and Cal Grant GPA Verification Form by March 2

California resident or have AB 540 status

Be in your first four years as a UC undergraduate (first two for transfer students)

GreenPal Business Scholarship

If you currently run a small business while attending college or have a small business idea to start while you plan to attend college, consider applying for the GreenPal scholarship.



College Jump Start

  1. High School 10th-12th grade, college student or non traditional student;
  2. U.S. Citizen or legal resident




Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Programs

Seniors Only

Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and US citizen 

10/25/2019by 5 p.m. Eastern Time

Up to $5,000

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

In grades 5-12

Legal resident of any U.S. state

Has engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred at least partly during the 12 months prior to the date of application



Coca-Cola Scholars Programs


U.S. Citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents;

Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school.


Various awards

Disneyland Resort Dreamers and Doers 2018

Must be turned into Mr. Ocean ‘s Office by the deadline

Dreamers & Doers applicants, who will receive two Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets. From this group, 60 “Shining Stars” will be selected to receive a $1,000 grant for their school. 

Eligibility Criteria              

  • Be a resident of Orange County, California
  • Must be in good academic and character standing, as verified by the school



1000 Dreams Scholarship

The 1000 Dreams Scholarship provides one-time educational assistance for currently enrolled high school. This can include assistance for needs including but not exclusive to: educational conferences, instructional programs related to creative or artistic pursuits, graduate exam application fees, or textbooks. 



Ron Brown Scholar Program

Must be Black/African American.

Must participate in community service activities.

Be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card.

Moose Youth Awareness Scholarship Program

Must be high school student
Must fill out and turn in Youth Awareness Student Application, Registration, and Consent Forms by November 2, 2018


Up to $40,000

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation 

Seniors Only 

Cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above

-SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above

Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000.


Up to $4,000 in cash prizes

Scholastic Publishing Student Poetry Contest

Each student may submit only one original poem on any subject, of no less than 2 lines and no more than 20 lines, Offensively graphic poems or those containing profanity will not be accepted.  Complete rules and restrictions are posted online at 


Up to $30,000 in tuition and mandatory fees

Stokes Educational Scholarship Program

Open to high school seniors, particularly minority students, planning to major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering.  Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible to be granted security clearance, 3.0 gpa.

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship (MVSS) award. The deadline is November 15

All students must apply online and through our organization. On top of these nationally awards, we, as the local organization (Garden Grove Elks Lodge) give away cash scholarships in the amounts of 2 - $1,000; 2 - $500; and 2 - $250 in one time monies as we have done for years.
