Better Business Bureau

The Better Business Bureau is accepting applications for the Ethical Torch Essay education program. This scholarship prompts students to describe resolution tactics for their unique encounters with “The Importance of Ethics and Integrity in our Community.” Essays should not exceed 400 words.

Be in your first four years as a UC undergraduate

College Jump Start

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Programs


Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and

US citizen 
Application Deadline: October 25

10/25/2020 by 5 p.m. 


Coca-Cola Scholars Programs


U.S. Citizens; U.S. Nationals; U.S. Permanent Residents;

Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school.

Applicants may not be children or grandchildren of employees, officers or owners of Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions or subsidiaries.


Various awards

Disneyland Resort Dreamers and Doers 

Dreamers & Doers applicants, who will receive two Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets. From this group, 60 “Shining Stars” will be selected to receive a $1,000 grant for their school. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a resident of Orange County, California
  • Must be in good academic and character standing, as verified by the school



1000 Dreams Scholarship

The 1000 Dreams Scholarship provides one-time educational assistance for currently enrolled high school or college-aged women. This can include assistance for needs including but not exclusive to: educational conferences, instructional programs related to creative or artistic pursuits, graduate exam application fees, or textbooks.  Apply online at 



Ron Brown Scholar Program

Must be Black/African American.

Must participate in community service activities.

Be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card.


Up to $40,000/year

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation 


Cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above

-SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above

Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000.



Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship (MVSS) award.

All students must apply online and through our organization. On top of these nationally awards, we, as the local organization (Garden Grove Elks Lodge) give away cash scholarships in the amounts of 2 - $1,000; 2 - $500; and 2 - $250 in one time monies as we have done for years.
