The Long Beach Community Foundation

The Long Beach Community Foundation is now offering scholarships for future public school teachers. Applicants must be seniors in the Garden Grove Unified School District who plan to attend an accredited four-year public college or university in California.



Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Association

One student from each of the 8 GGUSD high schools will receive a $1k scholarship. The award will be presented by a Strawberry Festival board member at your school’s awards program, and the recipient will be invited to ride in the parade on Saturday, May 25th.

Applications will be available in the Guidance Office in March and must be returned to Mr. Ocean



Golden West College

If you have students that are considering Golden West College has their choice, please provide this wonderful scholarship opportunity to them.  Each scholarship we have is at least $500 if they attend Golden West College in the fall 2018 semester.  The ASGWC Student Leadership Scholarship is $1000 for to cover fall and spring.

Walton Fiesta Scholarship

Each year our parents host an annual community event called the Walton Fiesta.  The purpose of the event is to support community involvement and also raise funds for the Walton Parent Organization to offer scholarships to former Walton students who will be graduating from a Garden Grove Unified School District High School during the current school year.  We are very pleased to offer the scholarships again.  Scholarship applications should be returned to Walton by April 20th before 3 p.m.

The recipients will receive their scholarship award at their Senior Awards Night

It is exceptionally easy to apply:

Simply complete a 30-45 minute online survey about local colleges. You will then be automatically entered into a random drawing for a scholarship award.

GGHS Alumni Scholarships

The GGHSAA Scholarship Program is under the coordination of the GGHSAA Scholarship Committee and annually provides scholarships to Garden Grove High School graduating seniors.

Garden Grove Pupil Personnel Services Association (GGPPSA)

Since 1980, the Garden Grove Pupil Personnel Services Association (GGPPSA) has awarded scholarships to deserving high school seniors from each high school.  The association’s scholarship is awarded in the name of Louise Rockey, a life-long educator who, until her death in 1978, completed her career as a counselor at Pacifica High School.  

Students to be awarded the scholarship should be planning to attend college (junior college included) with a direction in the areas of psychology, counseling, audiology, or speech and language pathology.  

Application available in the Guidance Office and are due to Mr. Ocean.

Art-A-Fair Foundation Scholarship

Open to Juniors and Seniors who are planning a career in the arts. There will be two awards.

Go For Broke Student Essay and Video Contest

Now Accepting Submissions for Fourth Annual Contest

Go For Broke National Education Center is happy to announce its fourth annual student contest – with students having the option to write essays, create poetry, or produce short videos.

The contest is open to high school students (grades 9-12) and college students (undergraduate and graduate). Cash prizes will be awarded to a total of 18 winners: $1,000 (each) to the top six winners. Plus, the first place winners will receive two complimentary tickets to attend our 17th Annual Evening of Aloha Gala Dinner this fall at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles. At this gala dinner, the winners will be able to meet the Japanese American WWII veterans whom they researched about!



Santa Ana College High School Scholarship

A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required. You must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units at Santa Ana College for the fall and spring semesters for the coming school year.
