Home Room & Tutorial Support

The PHS HOME ROOM PROGRAM

Students meet every Monday with their grade-level specific Home Room teacher and class team. They receive the weekly videocast (Mariner Mondays), school announcements, and school-wide lessons and competitions.

The PHS TUTORIAL PROGRAM

Students have Tutorials three days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. They choose which class they most are in need of support and sign up ahead of time for a spot in that room. Teachers answer questions, provide reviews, conference with students, and more during this 33 minute support period.

PHS Tutorial

Pacifica High School Tutorial

We are very excited about continuing to provide targeted assistance to students on a more frequent basis.

PHS continues to provide a 33 minute “Tutorial” period at the end of 2nd period on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. During this Tutorial time students will report to the class in which they need the most help. For example, a student who needs help in math could be able to attend math tutorials six times in a two week period. So a student who chooses help in one class will be provided 198 minutes of additional help in that class. Students who are failing classes will be assigned “Mandatorials,” meaning they must attend tutorials for D/F grades.
