The Pacifica High School Guidance Department offers a wide range of resources to help students prepare for life after high school. Our services include:
High School Course Planning to meet A-G and college entrance requirements
On-Campus Visits with College Representatives and participation in the District College Information Night
Testing Information for PSAT, ACT, SAT, AP, and CAASPP exams
Financial Aid and Scholarship Guidance, including FAFSA and local scholarship opportunities
Support with College Applications, letters of recommendation, and admissions processes
Personalized College and Career Planning tailored to each student’s goals
Career and Technical Education (CTE/CTC) Advisement and Enrollment
Community College Program Exploration and enrollment support
Military Service Information and recruiter contacts for interested students
The Pacifica High School Guidance Department is also committed to helping students stay on track for graduation and long-term success. Our academic support services include:
Development of a Personalized Academic Plan for each student
Pre-Enrollment Orientation covering the scheduling process and graduation requirements
Course Registration, Scheduling, and Program Adjustments as needed throughout the year
Interpretation of Test Results to support academic growth and planning
Parent Conferences and coordination of parent-teacher meetings
Counseling Support and Community Referrals for students with special needs
Grade Reports available upon request
Transcripts and Graduation Status Reports provided twice a year
