4. Choose a favorite musical and give a short presentation incorporating google slides or PowerPoint. (Minimum 3 slides) You can include the history of the musical, information about the composers, the music/story, what you like about the musical.

Look/listen in your own music library or search online to find at least 3 musical examples with distinctive articulation.



For example, find one piece in which the staccato notes create mood or character, another with prominent accents, and a third in which the legato is very important. Most pieces contain multiple types of articulation. Comment on at least one aspect of articulation for each piece you describe.



List the pieces of music below, giving the name of the piece, plus composer and/or performer. Be sure to include why you think the articulation is important. How does it make the music expressive and special? What would the music be like if the performers ignored the articulation?
