Welcome to the Pacifica High School Guidance Department website.  Our mission is to provide educational, personal, and career guidance for all students.  We strive to develop effective programs and strategies to meet the many needs of the adolescent student.  Pacifica High counselors focus on fostering a sense of social and academic empowerment, career development awareness, and responsible decision making in our students. We look forward to working with you.

Opportunities to meet with college representatives on the high school campus and at the District College Information Night
Testing Information (PSAT, ACT, SAT, AP, CAHSEE, CST)
Financial aid / scholarship information
Assistance with applications, scholarship and admission recommendations
College information appropriate to individual goals
Regional Occupational Program advisement and enrollment
Community college program information
Trade, technical and vocational school information
Military service information

Students and parents can also expect the following services: 

Development of a personal academic plan
Pre-enrollment orientation to include the scheduling process and graduation requirements
Registration, scheduling, and program adjustments as needed
Test results interpretation
Parent conferencing, parent-teacher conference arrangements
Counseling assistance and community referral information for special needs
Special grade reports provided upon request
Transcripts and graduation status reports provided twice yearly
