The purpose of JROTC is "to instill in students the value of citizenshtip, service
to the United States, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment" by establishing the following goals:

- To provide incentives to live healthy and drug-free lives
- To develop leadership potential
- To promote high school completion
- To provide information on the military services as a possible career
