Welcome to the Medical Pathway at Pacifica!
This is the fourth year that Pacifica has offered classes in this CTE (Career and Technical Education) pathway. I am excited to open your eyes to various careers and aspects of patient care. I look forward to offering many educational opportunities in our classroom. In past years, we have partnered with UCI Camp Med and have had the opportunity to attend Medical Camp. We are also running a HOSA-Future Health Professionals chapter. Students in HOSA compete on a national level in events such as Medical Terminology, CPR & First Aid, Sports Medicine, and much more. This year we will be competing in Sacramento and the students are bringing their "A-game".
A little about ME:
This is my fourth year at Pacifica as I was asked to come from Los Amigos to start up the Medical Pathway. I am a Dual Enrollment teacher which means I also work for the college system and offer college classes on the high school campus (super cool....I know). I am a mom to three girls (two have just graduated from college and the youngest will be a sophomore in high school this year). I am blessed to view the educational experience of the students from both a teacher and parent perspective. I always tell the students that they are "Professional Students". Coming to school on time, prepared, and curious IS their job! We work hard and learn a lot but enjoy the effort.

Kinesiology 100 (Dual Enrollment class)
Kinesiology 101 (Dual Enrollment class)
