PHS | Parent Teacher Student Association
PTSA is all about the students at Pacifica High School, as we care about them want them to have the absolute best education possible. This is the primary focus of the PTSA and is only achieved through dedication and cooperation. The PTSA is a very valuable asset to Pacifica, creating fundraisers to provide scholarships, buy much needed school supplies, instill a sense of school spirit, and support various school functions. To make this all possible, we need the cooperation of you as parents, guardians, faculty, and students. We are a community with a common goal that needs to pull together when faced with detrimental budget cuts that have constricted funds for education. We ask for your help, ideas, and support. We have positions available on the PTSA board. If you are interested PLEASE contact me. Thank you!

PTSA News Update April 29th, 2013
The school year is zooming by and we just want you, our Pacifica parents, to know how grateful we are for you. Thank you to everyone for your help and support of Pacifica’s PTSA fundraisers. Your donations of baked goods and copy paper have helped tremendously and we couldn’t have done it without you! Our Pacifica parents are the best! There are still board and chair positions available for next year, so if you would like to come and be a part of this wonderful organization, we would welcome you, even if it’s only to help out once in awhile. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Susan Galschiodt at gals5@scbglobal.net. We meet once a month, with our board and school staff deciding on how to best serve our students. Your presence is welcome. PTSA Senior Scholarships One of the many privileges Pacifica’s PTSA has, is to award scholarships to seniors planning to further their education at any college, university, community college, or trade school in the amount of $400.00. Students are selected based on criteria that may include grades, financial need, and school & community activities. Seniors or a family member must be a member of the Pacifica PTSA in order to apply (membership envelopes are available in the Front Office). Scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Office and are due by May 03, 2013. For further information on these scholarships or any fundraisers or needs that we have, please check out our link on Pacifica’s website. It is an honor to serve as PTSA President this year and I look forward to serving with you next year. We have assembled a great board for next year, but we still have positions available. Not one of our events would be possible without your support, our kids still need you. As we finish out this school year, we want you to know we are making exciting plans for next year and we hope you are a part of it.
