¡Bienvenidos! Welcome to Spanish class with Maestra Moreno. It's an honor, blessing and rewarding to be a Spanish teacher at Pacifica High School. I am entering my nineteenth year as an educator, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I've had the opportunity to connect with the community as a parent of a student-athlete for four memorable years when my son attended Pacifica 2009-2013. During this time, I was blessed to have experienced first hand the tight, knit community that is unique to this area. I cannot imagine a better place to teach scholars. I am looking forward to forming personal connections with all my students and instill the love for learning. My goal is to support and help my students be successful in Spanish class, and cheer them on with their personal and extracurricular activities. Whether they are experiencing a high tide or a low tide, I will be by their side. I encourage my students to self advocate and meet with me regularly to ensure academic success. My advice to my students is to practice vocabulary in context daily, takes risks in the classroom, participate, and most importantly, listen with the intent to understand.  I look forward to helping all my students excel in all modes of communication: comprehension, reading, writing and speaking. It is an honor to teach future bilinguals and trilinguals. I wish you a successful academic year!
